Die bure se kinders / The neighbouring children.

These are Coen and Jacolien's children - they live across the road from us. The children knows exactly when we take the dogs for their daily walk and are always waiting at their side of the fence for a quick hello and a play. They never miss us! Look at all the sticks they have collected for the dogs. Jacolien are expecting their 5th (4th girl) 2 days after my due date.

INTRODUCING: Pieter, die nog-nie-singende kanarie! / Pieter, the not-yet-singing canary!

Pieter joined the family at Xmas '08. To us he looks more like a baby chicken! We open the gate to his cage every morning and afternoon. He then flies around the house for a few minutes, entertains himself in front of the mirror and returns to the cage on his own to resume his favourite passtime - eating or sleeping!!
